Focus and Scope

The Journal of Health Sciences and Innovative Research is a peer-reviewed academic journal for publishing evidence-based articles with solid and sound methodology, clinical applications, and discussion of relevant professional issues or perspectives annually by the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. The journal is published electronically.


Publication Frequency

From 2022 the journal will publish two issues a year.


Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. There is no embargo on the journal’s publications. Submission and acceptance dates, are made available on the PDF format for each paper.

Articles published in JHSIR are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.


Archiving Policy

This journal is available for LOCKSS harvesting, to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. See LOCKSS harvesting start page.
